Lentils soup is an easy dish to prepare. So, here is the recipe according to my Greek personal cooking style:
Greek Lentils Soup With Feta Cheese
Ingredients (for 4-6 portions):
- 250gr lentils
- 1 onion
- salt and pepper
- 2-3 carrots
- 2-3 leaves of laurel
- 1-2 cloves of garlic
- 4-5 spoons of olive oil
Lentils soup preparation
- Wash the lentils in a strainer.
- In a sauce pan you put all the ingredients together and cover them with water. Boil them in a fairly slow temperature for about three quarters. The soup is ready after dropping the olive oil. You can accompany your meal with white cheese (“feta” cheese) with olives or with sardines (tin), even with an omelette.
The lentils soup could be served “cold” in summer and “hot” in winter. It is delicious and nutritious enough!!
